After a generation of Japanese rule, intimidation and political schemes, in 1945 when the Japanese empire collapsed, the peninsula of Korea was split in two and taken over by the Soviet Union to the north, and the USA to the south. To the north communism took effect and Stalin enrolled a guerrilla fighter named Kim Il Sung to take charge! To the south capitalism, and well we all know how that went. In part one we talk in depth about Kim Il Sung’s rule and actions on the people of North Korea!
